Positions Available with Sioux Lookout Auxiliary Policing Program
The Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) cluster is currently recruiting volunteers to be part of their local Auxiliary Policing Program.
The OPP is looking for twelve members in total, seven to operate in Sioux Lookout, two in Pickle Lake, two in North Caribou Lake First Nation, and one in Wapekeka First Nation.
The Auxiliary Policing Program is a group of unpaid volunteers who work part-time alongside frontline OPP officers to ensure safety and well-being for the Province of Ontario. OPP Auxiliary members are provided appropriate training in order to assist with emergency situations, crime prevention initiatives, and community-based special events.
Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old, and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Additional requirements include having a Secondary School Diploma, Class G driver’s license, First Aid and CPR training, and be able to pass background screening.
