Outdoor rinks in Sioux Lookout, Hudson re-open

Good news for Sioux Lookout and Hudson residents looking to get outdoors for a bit of exercise.

Municipally operated outdoor skating rinks in Sioux Lookout and Hudson re-opened for public use on Jan. 20.

The Municipality informed The Bulletin that the decision to re-open the rinks was reached after the Northwestern Health Unit provided further clarification on the use of outdoor rinks to the Municipality.

Signage advising of the need to maintain physical distancing when using the outdoor rinks has been posted.

“The public are expected to follow the information posted online and available from the Health Unit” the Municipality shared, adding, “We ask the public to follow the guidelines so that the outdoor rinks can remain open.”

The outdoor rink in Sioux Lookout is located on Third Avenue, across from the Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club (across the street from 87 Third Avenue).

The outdoor rink in Hudson is located at 3 Fourth Street.
