Police asking for public’s help to locate lost firearms

Sioux Lookout OPP are asking for the public’s help to locate two lost firearms.

Police shared that on October 12, between Sioux Lookout and Hoey Road (Wrong Road), a black plastic gun case containing two .22 caliber semi-automatic rifles was lost out of the back of a pickup truck.

Both firearms were secured with trigger locks. 

Police are asking anyone with information about these firearms to contact the Sioux Lookout Detachment at 807-737-2020 or 1-888-310-1122. 

People can also provide information anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
