Police charge Sioux Lookout resident with trespassing at night

Sioux Lookout OPP have charged a 35-year-old Sioux Lookout resident with trespassing at night after officers observed an individual trespassing and attempting to enter vehicles.
Police shared in a Nov. 13 media release, “On October 28, 2024, shortly after 5 a.m., officers from the Sioux Lookout detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol when they noticed an individual with a flashlight acting in a suspicious manner around Second Avenue North.
“The individual was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of multiple items not belonging to them.”
The 35-year-old Sioux Lookout resident has been charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with:
Trespassing at Night
The accused was held for bail and remanded to the Kenora District Jail.
Police are asking anyone who noticed items missing from their vehicle around October 28 to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
Ontario Provincial Police are reminding the public, “that leaving your vehicle unlocked and/or with valuables in plain view offers would-be criminals an easy opportunity to victimize vehicle owners.”
