Question of the Week:
The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is hosting four third-year Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) learners.
The NOSM students were asked what they are looking forward to during their time in Sioux Lookout.
Felicia Lotsios
NOSM Learner
Exploring, learning, and becoming involved in the community. Meeting and getting to know members of Sioux Lookout and the
surrounding region
Stephanie Stevens
NOSM Learner
I am looking forward to getting to know the community and the people of Sioux Lookout as well as the various Northern communities the hospital and clinic serve so that I can appreciate the wonderful things about Sioux Lookout and learn how best I, as a future physician, can serve them. When I am not in the clinic learning, I hope to get involved in community events and explore all that Sioux Lookout has to offer.
Joseph Boyle
NOSM Learner
Of course I am looking forward to learning! There will be so much to see and do here in Sioux Lookout and up North; I can't wait to see how far I can take my learning here. Beyond that, I am really looking forward to exploring the beautiful wilderness in the area.
Alison Lewis
NOSM Learner
This year in Sioux Lookout I am looking forward to learning what it’s like to practice in a northern rural community as well as experiencing the beautiful outdoors that Sioux Lookout
has to offer.
