Dear Constituents, 

I want to acknowledge that January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, it is great to see communities across Northwestern Ontario raise awareness about Alzheimers and develop safe spaces for those living with dementia and their care partners to gather. 
2023 Priorities  
I’ve heard from many of the residents in Northwestern Ontario about the issues that are most impacting them and their families.  Some of these issues include the cost of living that’s driving up the price of groceries, home-heating and gas, community safety, Highway 17 conditions and safety, Bill C-21 and the carbon tax.

Airline Passenger Protection Rights 
This past holiday season was truly an unprecedented time in airline travel. It is clear that airline passengers should be better protected to ensure in times of crisis, or disruption of travel plans they are not left stranded or financially impacted for situations out of their control.  
My colleagues and I will continue to advocate and push for work to be done to strengthen Canadians passenger rights.  
F-35 Purchase 
I am glad the Liberal government is finally purchasing the Canadian Armed Forces F-35’s.  As the world continues to be gripped with Russian aggression it is more important than ever for Canada’s military to have the equipment needed to protect our borders and support our NATO allies. 
However, I am disappointed it took the Government this long to finally recognize our military needs top of the line equipment.  For years they have wasted money on buying used and rusting F-18’s, even as my colleagues and I advocated for them to purchase F-35’s.   
Canada’s military should have the best equipment possible, to ensure both our military members safety, and our country’s security.
