Report From Parliament Hill
Eric Melillo, MP, Kenora Riding
Dear Constituents,
It was a busy week in the region and a welcomed opportunity to speak with many residents.
I was happy to host a community BBQ at my office in Kenora. It was great to see so many residents stop by to say hello, chat, and enjoy a hamburger. Thank you to everyone who attended. I look forward to hosting another free community event in Dryden later this month.
Later in the week, I visited Pickle Lake to meet with Mayor James Dalzell and Council to get an update on local issues and how the federal government can assist the municipality.
I also was in Sioux Lookout to meet with Mayor Lawrance, attend the Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce’s 41st Annual Home, Craft, and Trade Show and the Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival. I appreciated the opportunity to speak at the Blueberry Festival’s opening ceremonies.
I ended the week the week with a visit to the Clover Country Farmers Market in Oxdrift, Eagle Lake First Nation’s Annual Traditional Pow wow, and volunteering at Harbourfest in Kenora.
