Report From Parliament Hill
Eric Melillo, MP, Kenora Riding
Dear Constituents
I enjoyed participating in Valleyview Public School’s literacy week by reading stories to students. I also met with Chief Clayton Wetelainen in Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation. We discussed local projects and priorities and how the federal government can work in partnership to advance their objectives.
After a successful month of meeting with residents and reading responses to my survey, I am ready to bring everyone’s concerns to Parliament. I will be heading back to Ottawa for the next couple of weeks as the House of Commons will resume sitting on January 29.
Our Conservative team will be advocating for a plan to fix the NDP-Liberal government’s catch and release crime policies to keep repeat violent offenders behind bars; solve the housing crisis by building homes families can afford; and lower taxes to bring home lower prices.
