Road work
Construction on the Mill Road in Hudson took place last week, as the existing asphalt surface was replaced from the intersection of Goodie Lake Road to the intersection of Starratt Road, approximately 650 linear metres.
Municipal Public Works Manager Andrew Jewell shared that the work carried out on the Mill Road was, “warranty work carried over from when The Mill Road was reconstructed in 2019.”
He clarified, “Therefore, there is no cost to the Municipality for this work.”
Asked about any other road work that may be carried out in the Municipality this summer, Jewell responded, “Additionally, the Eighth Avenue Stormwater Upgrades and Avenue Reconstruction Project, which is to be completed this summer, incorporates the placement of new road surfacing (asphalt) on Eighth Avenue from Front Street to Prince Street, approx. 350 linear metres.”
