There are a lot of clubs and organizations in the community that make Sioux Lookout a better place to live and the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout wants to make sure that people know they are here.
Last Saturday, members of the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout set up a new sign across from Farlinger Park (the town beach) showcasing 16 local clubs and organizations under the heading “Community Clubs Make a Difference.”
The new sign was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout. Andreas Kottschoth, Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout President, spearheaded the initiative.
Kottschoth said the new sign is a great way for newer people to the community to find out about the different clubs and organizations in the community.
“Most towns have a service club sign,” he said.
“Each club had to pay a small amount to produce their own sign. The Rotary Club paid for the rest of the sign. I think it’s a great idea for the community,” he shared.
Kottschoth said participating clubs and organizations have been looking forward to seeing the completed sign, “It produces some exposure for all those clubs” he noted.
Each of the 16 club signs measures 20 inches tall by 20 inches wide.
