Rubber Duck Race
A record 883 ducks were sold for this year’s Annual Rubber Duck Race held on Aug.8 at the creek at the Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club.
Despite the rain there was a strong turnout to watch the rubber ducks race their way to the finish line during the Blueberry Festival event.
A fundraiser for the Sioux Lookout Skating Club, the club also held a Taco in a Bag fundraiser at the ball diamonds earlier that evening.
Sioux Lookout Skating Club President Kim Savoie shared, “The Rubber Duck Taco in a Bag Blueberry event was a huge success. It was great to have community members coming out on such a dreary day to support our skaters. We are very appreciative of the support we receive from families and organizations within the community of Sioux Lookout. We are looking forward to our upcoming skating season.”
