Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival receives special recognition

Sioux Lookout’s Blueberry Festival has been named one of Ontario’s Top 100 Festivals & Events by Festivals & Events Ontario.
“A huge thank you to our amazing community, volunteers, and supporters who make this festival so special every year,” the Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival shared on social media in response to the recognition.
Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival President Dori Hopko explained the Blueberry Festival Committee had to submit a nomination for the festival to be considered for the Top 100 listing.
Hopko added the recognition is also a nod to the hard work of the committee members, volunteers, and all of the organizations that put on events each year during the festival.
Hopko also shared that preparations are well underway for Sioux Lookout’s 43rd Blueberry Festival, which will run from August 1 to August 10.
