Sioux Lookout celebrates Canada Day!

Sioux Lookout and area residents packed the town beach for Canada Day activities on July 1.
Mayor Doug Lawrance thanked the Sioux Lookout Lions Club for hosting Canada Day celebrations.
“I truly think it’s our privilege to live in the best country in the world. Living in Sioux Lookout, on the traditional territory of the Lac Seul First Nation, we live in the best part of Canada,” he shared with those in attendance.
Lawrance and his wife Cherry later served a special Canada Day cake prepared by Althea George.
Bouncy castles, games, face painting, painting an OPP cruiser, and a fireworks show at dusk were all highlights of the day.
