Sioux Lookout Walleye Weekend cancelled for 2020

Sioux Lookout’s Walleye Weekend fishing tournament is the latest regional tournament to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organizers said of the decision, “After discussion with our committee, the uncertainty of when the Province will reopen, the border still closed, and a host of other issues with this shutdown, we have come to the conclusion to cancel this year’s Walleye Weekend.”
Organizers said anyone who had already signed up for the tournament, which had been scheduled to run from June 13 – 14, can transfer their entry fee to the 2021 tournament or request a refund.
Members of the organizing committee are looking forward to hosting the event next year.
Registration for the 2021 tournament will begin on November 1.
