Sioux Mountain Music Festival!

The Sioux Mountain Music Festival attracted a large crowd to Farlinger Park (Town Beach) on August 6.
Sponsored by the Nishnawbe-Gamik Friendship Centre, this year’s performers were The Star Strikers, The Evergreens, Skin n Bones, Hilary Davies, Mike McCarl, Mike Laverty, Elliot Doxtater, Gerri and Kathy, Dan Fraser, Jeff Hindy Project, True North, Hot Mess, Kaden and Kiera, and the Classic Humans.
Tommy Kuzemczak is the coordinator of the Sioux Mountain Music Festival as well as the coordinator of the Nishnawbe-Gamik Friendship Centre’s Sioux Lookout Multi-Cultural Youth Music Program, of which several of this year’s performers are part of.
“It was a beautiful day for the Sioux Mountain Music Festival. It was sunny and warm with live music all day into the night. All of the performers did an excellent job,” Kuzemczak shared.
