Spring cleanup

Lisa Salonen’s grade 5 class and Suzie Hughdie’s grade 4/5 class from Sioux Mountain Public School cleaned up in the community on April 23, collecting 19 bags of garbage.
Students cleaned from their school south along First Avenue, west along Fuller and Park Streets, south along Lincoln Drive, west along Fair Street, then north along Second Avenue North, concluding their cleanup efforts in their own schoolyard.
The classes conducted the cleanup effort to commemorate Earth Day (April 22), give back to their community, and as part of their efforts at the school to live more environmentally sustainably.
