Supporting MRI campaign

Lac Seul First Nation donated $50,000 to the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) Foundation on July 23 in support of making an MRI unit a reality at the hospital.
“This initiative will greatly benefit our region and its community members by reducing travel times and improving patient care. We are honored to be part of this effort,” shared Lac Seul First Nation Chief Clifford Bull.
SLMHC Foundation Donor Relations/Operations Coordinator Melissa Slade commented, “On behalf of the SLMHC Foundation, Thank You.  We are thrilled by this recent donation from Lac Seul First Nation toward our campaign to bring MRI services to Sioux Lookout!  It is wonderful to see surrounding communities recognize the importance of having local diagnostic imaging services, and advocating for more equitable healthcare in the north by financially supporting this major endeavour.  It is through ongoing and consistent support like this that we are able to continue the push toward our achieving this goal.”
