Supporting Pride

June is Pride Month in Canada.

At the OPP Detachment in Sioux Lookout, as well as other detachments Sioux Lookout OPP oversee operations for: Pickle Lake, Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation, Wapekeka First Nation, and Weagamow Lake First Nation, the Pride Flag has been raised for the month.

“I’m happy that all of the detachments in our cluster were able to show our support for PRIDE and LGBTQ2S+ community. By showing our PRIDE locally, we hope to give people confidence to live their truth, and encourage acceptance and understanding in our community,” shared Sioux Lookout Detachment Commander, Inspector Karl Duewel.
