Area school boards have launched their consultation process for the 2021-2022 School Year Calendar. With two versions of the calendar to choose from, a quick online survey became available on January 11, open until January 22.
The online survey, which takes less than a minute to complete, aims to collect feedback from students, families, employees and community members across the region, on their preference for the 2021-2022 School Year Calendar. The survey is available on all school board websites and social media sites, and can also be taken at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K3JTFD5.
Keewatin-Patricia District School Board Communications Officer, Sheena Pilipishen shared with The Bulletin, “The survey data is collected each year and taken to the regional school year calendar committee which is comprised of representatives from five area school boards (usually Superintendents): the Northwest Catholic District School Board, the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board, the Rainy River District School Board, Conseil scolaire de district Catholique des Aurores boréales and the Kenora Catholic District School Board. The data that is collected through the survey is used by the committee to help determine which of two options will become the school year calendar for the upcoming year.”
