Take Pride Community Wide Competition results

A total of 237 bags of garbage were collected through the Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce’s Take Pride Community Wide Competition.
Running from April 25 to May 8, residents were encouraged to clean up around the community this spring (adhering to physical distancing practices in place during the COVID-19 pandemic) and take a photo of themselves with all the bags of garbage they had collected outside of the Travel Information Centre and post it on the Chamber’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/SLChamber807.
On May 9 the Chamber shared the results of the competition on their Facebook page, “Congratulations to our 1st place winners Vanessa Ashley and her kids who collected a total of 101 bags! In 2nd place, is the McCord's collecting 73 bags! ... A HUGE thank you to our winners and to everyone who participated! We can all see your efforts around town! Makes us all proud that we have such a great community.”
