Timberwolves take on Voyageurs

The Pelican Falls First Nations High School Timberwolves hosted the Atikokan Voyageurs on Feb. 4, taking them on in girls’ volleyball and senior boys’ basketball.
In junior girls’ volleyball, the Timberwolves clawed their way to victory in a deciding third set, winning two sets to one (25-17, 21-25, and 25-15). The Timberwolves fought hard in the senior girls’ matchup, but lost in straight sets (25-12, 25-15, and 25-14).
Despite having a short bench, the Timberwolves senior boys showed plenty of heart and hustle, while playing a clean and fast-paced game, on the hardwood. The Voyageurs edged the Timberwolves 63-35.
