Tree of Hearts campaign receives plenty of community support

This year’s 23rd annual Tree of Hearts campaign, which is run by the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) Foundation from the New Year until Feb. 14, raised $3,500, assisting the SLMHC in purchasing needed equipment.
“Thanks to everyone, all the businesses and individuals that donated toward equipment for the hospital. Always welcome and always needed,” said Rita Demetzer, SLMHC Foundation Treasurer.
The campaign provided an opportunity for community members to remember or honour loved ones through purchasing decorative lights. The lights were on display at the SLMHC throughout the week of Valentine’s Day.
