Vigil
Community members gathered at St. Andrew’s United Church on March 20 as part of a vigil for the 50 victims of a shooting at two New Zealand mosques on March 15.
Participants read out the names of those who had lost their lives and reflected on the tragedy.
“Where we live we’re fortunate, but we’re not immune to hatred and racism,” event organizer Terry Lynne Jewell stated, encouraging people to be strong and have the courage to speak out against intolerance.
