Sandra Litwin, a Red Lake resident, recently took home $52,252 as the winner of the third Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) Foundation 50/50 Charity Draw.
“It was great, especially knowing that I’m going to be retiring two weeks after I won. So, that was kind of a nice retirement gift. Also, I support the local hospitals in the area. Sioux Lookout is one of our surgical hospitals that we rely on sometimes for urgent care.”
Litwin is currently the Team Lead Health Information at the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital.
During its first three months, the 50/50 charity draw raised over $118,800 for the hospital foundation. Litwin encourages people to support local hospitals in these foundation draws, and keep the money raised in our communities
in the region.
