Drug charges laid after warrant executed in Sioux Lookout

Four Sioux Lookout residents are facing multiple charges after police executed a search warrant at a residence in Sioux Lookout on Feb. 1.
The Sioux Lookout detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), along with members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and Nishnawbe Aski Police Service, executed the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on Seventh Avenue.
“The investigation has resulted in the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of suspected illicit substances including cocaine, methamphetamine, and crack cocaine. Canadian currency and items associated with drug trafficking were also seized along with a motor vehicle,” Ontario Provincial Police shared in a Feb. 2 media release.
A 45-year-old Sioux Lookout resident has been charged under the Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Resist Peace Officer
A 21-year-old Sioux Lookout resident has been charged under the Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
A 41-year-old Sioux Lookout resident has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine
Another 41-year-old Sioux Lookout resident has been charged under the Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
