Municipality, CUPE reach agreement
The Municipality of Sioux Lookout and its unionized employees have created a new four-year collective agreement. Town employees, members of Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 2141, ratified the agreement September 18.

Council receives update on Community Improvement Plan
Meridian Planning Consultants updated municipal council at a special meeting September 18 on the Community Improvement Plan (CIP) they are working on for Sioux Lookout and Hudson. The purpose of the CIP is to encourage new development and investment in the community.

Sell out seafood
The Sioux Lookout Rotary Club 8th Annual Lobsterfest was a sell out, netting 250 people. The evening of dining and dancing took place the evening of September 22 at the Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club. Funds raised will support Cedar Bay Day Camp, the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre, and other Rotary projects.
