Keewatin-Aski Ltd. supports MRI campaign with $15,000 donation

A donation from Keewatin-Aski Ltd. is helping bring MRI services a step closer to becoming a reality at the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC).
On Jan. 22, staff from Keewatin-Aski Ltd. presented SLMHC Foundation staff, SLMHC Foundation Board members, and members of the MRI campaign committee with a $15,000 donation to be earmarked for the purchase of a new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner.
Keewatin-Aski Ltd. Office Manager Lisa Husak shared, “It’s a donation that we are very happy to give to a worthwhile project like the MRI.”
Melissa Slade, Donor Relations/Operations Coordinator, SLMHC Foundation, stated of the donation, “On behalf of the SLMHC Foundation, I would like to thank Keewatin-Aski Ltd. for their generous donation toward our campaign. They say it takes a village, and we are grateful to have the amazing support, people, businesses and community groups that continue to step up within our village! Together we are stronger and will continue to push toward our goal of keeping quality health care local and bringing MRI services to our own backyard.”
