OPP investigating sudden death in Sioux Lookout

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sioux Lookout Detachment, with support from the Sioux Lookout Crime Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, Regional Investigative Support Team, Provincial Liaison Team, and Marine Unit, are investigating a sudden death near the town beach, in Sioux Lookout.
Police shared that, “At approximately 7:00 am on August 29, 2024, officers responded to Lakeshore Drive for a report of an individual in the water. The individual, identified as Cameron Vincent, 18-years-old from the community of Hudson, was confirmed deceased on scene.”
Police say there are no concerns for public safety at this time, however police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this death.
