Sioux Lookout OPP investigating home invasion

Ontario Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate what they say was a home invasion in Sioux Lookout in December.
Police shared that, “On December 21, 2023, shortly after 3:30 a.m., members of the Sioux Lookout OPP Detachment responded to a home invasion at a residence on First Avenue North. The investigation into this incident remains ongoing at this time.”
Police advised in a Dec. 21 media release that, “Members of the public can expect to see a larger police presence within the community. While investigators do not believe there is a threat to public safety, individuals are reminded to be aware of their surroundings at all times.”
Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Sioux Lookout OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122. Should people wish to remain anonymous, they may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
