Aubrey Bates is an Ontario Scholar with an average of 92.7. Aubrey is also an honour role student with an average of 94.0 Aubrey is going to take some time off and work as a Lifeguard and join the OPP Auxiliary program as she prepares to pursue a career in Policing. Today Aubrey is receiving the Jennifer McKenzie Award of Merit. Aubrey is receiving a KPDSB Award valued at $400.
Patrick Bellerose will be attending UBC for the Bachelor of Arts program with the intention of becoming a lawyer one day. Patrick is receiving a KPDSB Award valued at $400.
Caleb Bellingham is an Ontario Scholar with an average of 96.8. Caleb is also an Honor Roll student with an average of 96.8. Caleb has been awarded the Govenor General Academic Award with a combined average of 95.2., as will as the Principals Gold Academic Achievement medal.Caleb will be going to Prairie College to get a certificate in Bible Studies. Today Caleb is receiving a Rotary Club Bursary valued at $1,000 and he is also a recipient of the Elsie Cosco Memorial Scholarship valued at $500.
Hailey Belmore is returning for a fifth year to explore English and do some upgrading. Hailey will be receiving a Lac Seul Education Authority Bursary of $1000.00
Matthew Belmore-Machimity will be working with SLAAMB in the silviculture and landscaping department.
Jomae Borja plans on returning to Sioux North next year to upgrade some courses and then travel and work to save for post secondary plans. Today Jomae is receiving a Sierra Hoppe Memorial Award for $500.00
Haylee Bouchard has received a full scholarship to play NCAA hockey at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania and is enrolled in their Bachelors of Nursing and Science program for next year.
Madisyn Breton is an Ontario Scholar with an average of 81.3. Madisyn is also an Honour Roll student with an average or 81.3. Madisyn has achieved an SHSM in H & W. Madisyn is taking a year off to work as a Personal Care Assistant at Meno-Ya-Win hospital and will then be applying to College or University to pursue her dream career in the field of medicine. Presley Brohm is an Ontario Scholar with an average of 90.7. Presley is an Honour roll student with an average of 87.3 Presely is returning for a fifth year to upgrade her classes in order to go into Osteopathy at Sheridan College Presley is receiving the Dylan Hyatt Memorial Award in the sum of $1000.00
Colton Brown will be returning to his community, Kasabonika First Nation, with ambitions to work in the housing department. Colton is receiving a Shibogama First Nations Council Award that includes $500, an Apple watch, Beats headphones and plaque. Colton is also receiving the Payah-taken-mowin Youth Well Being Program gift of an IPAD, as well as a Nintendo Switch from Shibogama Language and Education, and the Kasabonika First Nation Award of $1000.00

Henry Davis has achieved an SHSM in Construction .Henry will spend the next year and a half working in town while he decides where he wants to go to college. Henry will be receiving Sioux North Experiential Education Home Hardware Construction Award donated by Home Hardware.
Madison Diston is an Honour roll student with an average of 86.7. Madison is returning for a fifth year to take University level English and Anthropology. Chase Favot has achieved an SHSM in Transportation. Chase is considering programs and apprenticeships to become an airplane mechanic. Chase will be receiving the Sioux North Experiential Education Sioux Per Auto Parts Transportation Technology Award which is a gift of a comprehensive tool kit donated by Sioux Per Auto Parts here in Sioux Lookout. Chase is receiving a KPDSB Skilled trades award valued at $1000.00
McKenna Fewer has achieved an SHSM in H&W. McKenna is taking the year to work and travel abroad.
Jeremiah Fiddler will be returning to his community, Bearskin Lake First Nation, to work for the next year before going to Sault College in order to take a business program and play Hockey. Jeremiah is receiving a Windigo First Nation Council Bursary for $400.

Kameron Gaudreau is an Ontario Scholar with an average of 94.7.Kameron has been awarded the Principals Bronze Academic Achievement medal Kameron is going to Ontario Tech University for Electrical Engineering. Kameron is receiving a Sioux North High School Experiential Education Oshtugon Musical Leadership Award and the Sioux North High School Experiential Education Science Award.
Dakota Gillingham is going to join the workforce in Sioux Lookout within the art industry.

As you are aware, Mackenzie has received the Lieutenant Governor’s Community Volunteer Award (199hrs). McKenzie is also receiving the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #78 Legion Ladies Auxiliary Bursary of $1000. McKenzie is also receiving the Sioux Lookout Lions Club Bursary of $500. This year’s Lions Club Bursary is given in memory of Lifetime Lions member, Brian Logan. And the Sioux Lookout Gymnastics Club Bursary of $300.00.

Zachary Lance is an Honour Roll student with an average of 80.8 Next year Zach will be starting a General Carpentry Apprenticeship and playing hockey with the Sioux Lookout Bombers. Zach is receiving a KPDSB Skilled trades award valued at $1000.00

Lula “Bertha” Trout is walking across our stage today as a graduate earning her OSSD Grade 12 Diploma from our very own Adult Education Program. Lula’s plans are to continue to work for the Lac Seul Education Authority as a Student Support Worker in continued support of our Lac Seul Students attending Sioux North High School. Lula also works for KOBE as home worker and in this role supports many other students here at Sioux North High School.
Grady Tudor has aspirations to work in the mining industry and will be applying to take courses through Seven Generations. Grady will be receiving a Lac Seul Education Authority Bursary of $1000.00
Lola Tuesday will be taking the year to work full time and take art courses. Afterwards, she plans on attending College for Game Design.
Emaya van Deist is an Ontario Scholar with an average of 94.3 .Emaya is also an honor role student with an average of 94.3 Emaya has achieved an SHSM in H&W. Emaya was this year’s Valdictorian. Emaya is going on a Rotary Exchange in Thailand. Our local Rotary cllub will bestow a blazer for her in recognition of this 12 thousand dollar scholarship.
