Weapon charges laid following disturbance in Sioux Lookout

A 26-year-old Sioux Lookout individual was arrested and charged on Dec. 23, at approximately 2:45 a.m., after members of the Sioux Lookout Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at a business on Front Street.
Police say their investigation revealed that two patrons had become involved in a verbal argument when the accused allegedly assaulted the other individual.
As a result, the 26-year-old from Sioux Lookout was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Mischief
- Possession of a Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order
